Uganda’s Population Growth rate a threat to her food security

Uganda’s population is expected to grow to 100 million people in the next thirty years. As the population continues to grow people are encroaching on forests and wetlands for settlement and farming. More areas are getting urbanised and farmers are still practising subsistence farming. Uganda needs to promote commercial agriculture and irrigation and also control population growth rate.
