This formal essay is on selections from Dante’s Divine Comedy and selections written by Thomas Aquinas. The professor gave 6 items that we choose 2-3 of that he would like us to discuss in the essay. The essay should have an intro with a thesis, a body, and a conclusion. The professor does not want us to use any outside sources, just the texts we have read in class for support. I will attach the prompt, the guidelines, and the readings. There are two readings for Aquinas, and then selections from Dante’s Inferno (ONLY cantos 1-5, approx the first 20 pages of the document), Purgatorio, and Paradiso.
