As a future educator, you will have the opportunity to create engaging lessons and assessments for your students. You have learned throughout this course about a variety of tools, apps, and software that can be used to support technology integration in the classroom for teaching, learning, research and communication. Technology can be a great platform to engage your students!

For this assignment, you will have the opportunity to build one teaching activity and one assessment activity using two tools, apps, or software of your choice. This is where you get to take something you have learned about in this course and apply the knowledge to your future classroom in a fun, engaging way! The only thing that will limit you is your imagination!

Instructions:

In order to be successful on this assignment, you will need to plan, create, and reflect on what technology resource you are going to use to cover your learning activity and assessment activity! Use this guide to assist you in completing this assignment.

Plan for the learning activity and assessment activity:

1. What subject (math, science, social science, or reading for Elementary and Special Education candidates) would I like to address in my learning activity and assessment? You must use the same subject for both the learning activity and assessment. (Seconary candidates should choose an area in their licensure area.)

2. What topic would I like to cover in that subject for my learning activity and assessment? If you select math, you might select fractions as your topic. If you pick science, you might select the weather as your topic. You must use the same topic for both the learning activity and assessment.

3. Research your subject and topic to help determine what you are going to cover in your learning activity. Do the same for your assessment activity.

4. Locate at least one ISTE standard that supports your educational choices. Include the full written standard and standard number on your chart. (https://www.iste.org/standards/for-educators)

5. What technology tool (app or software) do you want to use to cover this topic and subject for your learning activity? What different technology tool (app or software) do you want to use to cover this topic and subject for your assessment activity? You need to confirm that the tools you’ve chosen allow you to create the learning activity and assessment. You cannot use a game, quiz, lesson, etc. already made for you. (Example: Quizlet and Kahoot would allow you to create, but ABC Mouse and IXL would not.)

6. Research the two technology resources you are going to use! Look at other educational learning activities and/or assessment activites that have been created using these resources to give you an idea of what to create!

Create the learning activity:

1. Using the technology resource, create the learning activity that covers your topic and subject!

2. Have fun! Enjoy using the technology!

3. Copy the link to the resource for your Technology Application Project Chart.

4. Take at least two screenshots of the resource for your Technology Application Project Chart.

Create the assessment activity:

1. Using a different technology resource than the learning activity, create the assessment activity that covers the same topic and subject you used for the learning activity!

2. Have fun! Enjoy using the technology!

3. Copy the link to the resource for your Technology Application Project Chart.

4. Take at least two screenshots of the resource for your Technology Application Project Chart.

Reflect on the activity:

1. Download the Technology Application Project Chart.

2. Complete the chart with your name, subject, topic, technology resource, ISTE standard, the link to the resource, and at least two screenshots of the resource.

3. Explain how you would use this resource in your classroom for both the learning activity and the assessment activity!

4. Save the Technology Application Project Chart and submit to Blackboard.

Submit your assignment in Blackboard by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Monday of Module/Week 7.
