The course as a whole was compelling. This was a very challenging course and with my personal situations and lack of knowledge of this course made it that much difficult.

Within my topic, I just chose truancy, not really knowing the depths of the actually issue. I was floored when I learned that certain governors are attempting to pass legislation that would take needed public assistance from families if their children are truant. Within some of these states, truancy can be missing days, even if they are sick or other issues that maybe due to their social or economic status.

I like the discussion board because it allows to better understand others point of view on the subject matter.

This class and the assignments appeared to be cut and dry, however, there was information in which grades were give that could have used more clarification or been include in the actual assignment itself. The meeting time was not a good time for many working individuals, some may not realize that asking questions during live chat is totally different, and yields different information, than asking after the fact, or after watch archives.
