Prompt: Discuss an accomplishment, event, or realization that sparked a period of personal growth and a new understanding of yourself or others. I chose to write about my elderly childhood dog, Julian. When I was around 12, he started to grow blind until eventually he was completely blind. As he was growing blind I started to experience things in my family such as divorce, alcoholism, and the true malevolent nature of humans. So in a sense, as he became more blind I became less blind to the world around me. Since this topic is very personal and I am not a good writer, I would love for someone to help me develop this idea and create a great essay.
