Differentiate between the manner in which themajor tenetsof the legislation would beinterpretedby a health economist health practitioner and/or consumer of healthcare services

Overview:In this milestone you will submita first draft of your open comment letter. An open comment is an informed opinion written in the form of a letter to counsel authors of legislation on the perceived benefits and consequences of the opinion. It should include background on the key health issue and your assumption of the risks inferred by the legislative action (i.e. unintended consequences public reaction loopholes etc.). The economic analysis should be more complete than that of your executive summary taking into account the nature of the U.S. healthcare system socioeconomic factors behavioral models of stakeholders that shape interpretations and outcomes. The document should not be based solely on emotion though it should not be divorced of sentiment as it needs to rouse the proper energy needed to effect change. The goal of the document is to convince the reader that your suggestions for inclusion exclusion and adaptations to the legislation should be included in the final version of the action.Specifically the following critical elements must be addressed:Open Comment Lettera. Describe how the intended consequences of the legislation will positively and/or negativelyimpactthe key health issue that it is tasked to affect once applied to a realistic environment.b. Differentiate between the manner in which themajor tenetsof the legislation would beinterpretedby a health economist health practitioner and/or consumer of healthcare services.c.Summarize the logical interpretationsof the legislation in a document with a member of Congress as the proposed audience.d. Hypothesizethe outcomesof the legislation in a document with a member of Congress as the proposed audience.e. Decide whether thekey health issueis being servedby creating or subduing supply demand or cost of healthcare services and which stakeholder group (providers consumers or payors) bears the primary responsibility for its implementation.f. Discern to what extent the legislation will impact the reimbursement and/or financial health of providers operating as for-profit nonprofit military or government-sponsored care financing models.g.Propose changesto the legislation that could be adopted tofurther affect socioeconomic determinants of health such as poverty education and diversity.h. Propose whattacticscould be implemented to ensure that the initial intent of the legislation could besafeguarded against perversionby macroeconomic forces and agents looking to exploit those forces to their advantage.Guidelines for Submission:Your paper should be no longer than five pages (not including references and supporting appendices) with double spacing 12-point Times New Roman font one-inch margins and at least three sources cited in APA format.Textbook:Economics for Healthcare Managers As you read these chapters consider the following questions:Challenges for Improving Health Care Access in Rural AmericaThis case found on pages 60 – 65 provides a customary view of poverty in association with healthcare and focuses on the residents ability to pay. Financial difficulty in a region has compounding effects on utilization and demand extending from provider supply to access to insurance. This case will be used as a basis for the module discussion.

Discuss the relationship between human development and socialization

Discuss
the psychological disorder (150-250 words) For years, there has been controversy as to
whether drug addiction was a mental illness.
This psychological disorder changes the brain in fundamental ways,
disturbing a persons normal hierarchy of needs and desires and substituting
new priorities with using the drug. The
inability to control impulses despite the consequences are similar to that of
other mental illnesses. Drug abuse has
become a common problem and plagues all social classes worldwide. Different people are affected by drugs in
different ways. Some may be prone to
certain types of drugs. Although most
people are still stereotyped, drug dependancy is not a character defect. People who suffer with addiction should be
treated the same as any other person with a medical condition. A person who abuses drugs may not even
realize they have a problem. Often
times, it is the family that makes the addict aware of the illness; typically
with the help of a health care professional.
Addiction comes at a high cost.
In addition to healthcare costs, society pays a huge price for the
effects of drug addiction. Addicts,
often times, support their habits by stealing.
This leads to increased tax costs for additional law enforcement.

5. Discuss
the relationship between human development and socialization (150-250 words)

6. How does
the relationship between human development and socialization affect the psychological disorder? (150-250 words)

7. Discuss
cultural considerations in regards to prevalence, treatment, trends, etc.
(150-250 words)

8. Discuss
how this disorder may/may not be accepted/explained within certain cultural contexts (150-250 words).

9. What have
you learned about this disorder that you did not previously know? (50-100 words)

Alcohol and Substance Abuse Disorder

Week 3: Psychological Disorder

Directions:
-Save/Submit Document as: FirstnameLastNameWeek3 (Example:
MistieBarnesWeek3)
-Answer each question fully. Be sure that you stay within
the required word count. Failure to do so will result in a loss of points. The
word count is designed to help improve your critical thinking skills, while
improving your abilities to effectively convey meaning.
-APA formatted citations are required on questions 4-8.
-A reference list is required. Reference list must be in APA
format.
-Complete this worksheet in the worksheet format (ie. not
paper format). This means leave the question above each response.
-Single space each response.

1. Psychological
Disorder (as listed in the DSM-5) list the NAME just one: Alcohol and Substance Abuse Disorder.

2. DSM-5
Code for this disorder use the ICD-10 code (This will generally start with an
F i.e. F23.1) F19.10.

3. Why did
you choose this disorder? (50 words or less)
For years, my family and I have struggled with my brothers drug
addiction. Recently, I found out my son
was an addict as well. The destruction
and havoc the drug causes to not only the addicts life, but their loved ones
too, is almost inconceivable. I chose
this disorder, hoping to give some insight as to why? Why do they choose to use? Why do they behave the way they do?

How do you intend to use what you learned concerning best practices for research from the chapter and the web-based resources to help you search effectively and efficiently?

At this early stage of action research as you prepare to search
for credible sources of information to help you build an action
research proposal, discuss which viewpoint on these two
perspectives you lean toward and why.
When researching increased activity, hypertension, and high
blood pressure this learner is leaning towards reviewing related
literature and refining research questions, while addressing
assumptions. Mills (2014) asserts that variability in human
behavior may complicate the usage of scientific tools that are used
to draw conclusions, but those tools actually assist in determining
meaningful analysis. As such, previous studies, reports, and
inquiry will definitively enhance the quality of findings. Further,
the review of related literature will help dispel such erroneous
assumptions as the ideas that blood pressure and heart rate are
always linked, blood pressure and heart rate have normal target
numbers, and low pulse or blood pressure always suggests a problem;
which are all false (Cleveland Clinic, 2017). Having a good grasp
of research parameters allows for a more focused evaluation of the
data. This is helpful to distinguish information that adds to the
knowledge base.
How do you intend to use what you learned concerning best
practices for research from the chapter and the web-based resources
to help you search effectively and efficiently?
The process of effective research takes practice and requires
specific skill-sets. Mills (2014) informs that the ability to read
and interpret literature is essential for academic efficacy and
necessitates literature review competency. Therefore, the
information learned concerning best practices for research will be
used to support goals, assess alternatives, select samples that
represent the population being studied, verify quality of data,
implement appropriate confidentiality requirements, and provide for
replication (American Association of Public Opinion Research,
2017). Moreover, reputable and authentic sources will be used to
extrapolate grounded facts. For example, scientific journals, peer
reviewed articles, and recent text books will be used to in
conjunction with reputable .gov or .org websites to compile
relevant information. Independent studies verify that current and
best practices research is vital for developing a thorough
understanding of a problem and it components (Eglene, 2000). This
is why the standard process of formulating a question, gathering
information, and selecting appropriate participants will be
used.
