Based on your analysis of the social justice problem in the assignment from Unit 2, select a current federal policy to analyze using the Library of Congress. This policy must currently be in law. It must also address problem that affects a diverse cultural group (for example, based on race, religion, disabilities, gender orientation, socioeconomic status, or access to services). This will be the policy you analyze for the entire the course project. Be sure to incorporate ideas that have been discussed in this course into your analysis. You will compile all parts of the course project in Unit 10, so as you receive feedback for each assignment, revise your work as necessary. To ensure that this is a viable scholarly topic, explore the literature in your area of interest by doing article and book searches through Capella University Library databases and other electronic resources, including government, educational, and organizational Web sites. Exploring scholarly, respected literature will be the preliminary work for this project. The Library of Congress and other governmental Web sites will be an invaluable resource for your research during this project. Instructions To complete this assignment: Select a federal policy from the Library of Congress that discusses the form of oppression and discrimination you described in Unit 2 (for example, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Veterans Millennium Healthcare Act, Affordable Healthcare Act, Adoption and Safe Families Act, Medicare, Medicaid, Temporary Aid to Needy Families Act, Social Security Act). Describe the policy you have chosen. This policy must be enacted, passed legislation. Include a desсrіption of the programs and services that are provided through the policy. What is the purpose of this policy? What problem does it seek to remedy? Connect the policy to the social justice problem you selected by giving a brief desсrіption of the problem. Is it a new problem, something that has recently arisen or is it an old problem that never got resolved? Use scholarly, peer-reviewed literature to support your desсrіption. Describe the historical issues and context that lead to the creation of the social problem and policy development. Include information about the voting outcomes for the policy and the legislative leaders who influenced the policy historically and in the present. Include the impact of these historical features have had on the policy′s implementation. Use scholarly, peer-reviewed literature to support your desсrіption.

Provide a justification for the dietary plan with reference to macro-nutrient content, nutrient timing and the choices taken in using nutrient and energy dense foods

In your planning you will need to consider:
The population you are working with
Convenience and variety of meals
Use of nutrient ‘timing’
Balancing daily energy intake with energy expenditure
To complete your assignment you will need to:
Provide a written justification of your choices for estimating resting metabolic rate (pRMR), the use of dietary tracking and issues associated with under-eating in athletic populations with reference to the female athlete triad or RED-S. In this section you will need to provide:
A comparison of techniques and their associated limitations with the prediction of RMR
A critical evaluation of errors associated with tracking dietary intake
Discussion on issues associated with long-term health consequences of low energy availability in athletes
(1000 – 1200 words)
Complete a one-day dietary plan using the template provided (to be made available on EdLinked)
Provide a justification for the dietary plan with reference to macro-nutrient content, nutrient timing and the choices taken in using nutrient and energy dense foods
(300 – 500 words)

Develop a different study design that best fits the outbreak and justify the selection through a discussion of the study design’s strengths and limitations as it relates to your chosen health issue.

• Review your studies on John Snow and the London cholera outbreak along with what you have learned about experimental study designs. Develop a study design for each of the following major designs presented utilizing the components and concepts comprising Dr. Snow’s cholera outbreak:
• Cross-sectional.
• Case control.
• Cohort.
• Clinical trial.
For each study design address the following components:
• Historical concepts and practices that provided the foundation for the practice of epidemiology and epidemiological research related sciences.
• Advantages of this design as it relates to this health issue.
• Disadvantages of this design as it relates to this health issue.
• Common statistical measures utilized in this study design.
• Sampling issues with each study design as it relates to this health issue.
• Bias in epidemiological research and understand how it is controlled in research design.
For the second part of the assignment, select a recent (within the past 5 years) or a well-known public health issue and complete the following:
• Provide a one-page summary of the outbreak.
• Identify and discuss literature regarding the outbreak.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the outbreak resolution based on the strengths and limitations of the study designs utilized in the literature.
• Develop a different study design that best fits the outbreak and justify the selection through a discussion of the study design’s strengths and limitations as it relates to your chosen health issue.
• Identify sampling issues you would expect to encounter in your selected study design.
• Review the Study Design Scoring Guide for information on how this assignment is graded.
• Name potential biases possible in this study design and your selected health issue.
This paper should be approximately 6–8 pages in length.

Explain how your use of music might impact your cognitive function. Draw on the research literature from both the “music and the brain” and “music in schools” lectures to support your ideas.

Part 1 (uploaded file): Complete the Healthy-Unhealthy Uses of Music Scale (HUMS). Write a reflective summary of your responses and comment on the health of your use of music (approx. 300 words. Include a photo/scan of your HUMS as an appendix at the end of your assignment. Appendices are not included in your word count). Download the HUMS here (explained in Week 5 lecture): HUMS scale.pdf

Part 2: Explain how your use of music might impact your cognitive function. Draw on the research literature from both the “music and the brain” and “music in schools” lectures to support your ideas. (approx. 700 words)

Part 3: Explain how your use of music might impact your emotions. Draw on the research literature from both the “music and emotions” and “music and adolescents” lectures to support your ideas. (approx. 700 words)

Part 4: write a final reflection on how your uses of music might change across your lifespan, drawing on the research literature from any of the lectures this semester. (approx. 300 words)
