Examine the key inferences of corporate ethics related to internal controls and accounting principles which lead to the litigation or fine for the accounting firm.

Research the Internet or Strayer Library for recent litigation, censures, and fines involving national public accounting firms.  Examples of litigation cases against national public accounting firms include fines by regulatory authorities and censures by professional societies. To complete Assignment 2, find examples of litigation, censures and fines from within the past two (2) years.

Write a three to four (3-4) page paper in which you:

  1. Analyze the primary accounting issues which form the crux of the litigation or fine for the firm and indicate the impact to the firm as a result of litigation or fine. Make sure that the examples you provide are from within the last two (2) years. Provide support for your rationale.
  2. Examine the key inferences of corporate ethics related to internal controls and accounting principles which lead to the litigation or fine for the accounting firm.
  3. Evaluate the primary ethical standards of the accounting organization’s leadership and values that contributed to approval of the accounting issues and thus created the litigation or fines in question.
  4. Identify specific conduct violations committed by the organization and accounting firm in question. Next, create an argument supporting the actions against the organization and accounting firm, based on the current professional code of conduct for independent auditors and management accountants.
  5. Make a recommendation as to how regulators and professional societies may prevent the type of behavior in question in the future. Provide support for your rationale.
  6. Use at least two (2) quality academic resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar websites do not qualify as academic resources. Montag

“He hung up his black beetle-colored helmet shined it; he hung his flameproof jacket neatly; he showered luxuriously, and then, whistling, hands in pockets, walked across the upper floor of the fire station and fell down the hole. At the last moment, when disaster seemed positive, he pulled his hands from his pockets and broke his fall by grasping the golden pole. He slid to a squeaking halt, the heels one inch from concrete floor downstairs” (4). [Provide a page number for each quote.]

This passage is about the character of Montag and his actions upon returning to the firehouse. The fact that he carefully shines his helmet and hangs both his helmet and jacket “neatly” suggests that Montag is a particular person when it comes to his personal belongings. He seems to revel in routine. However, he also seems reckless and daring as evidenced when he “fell down the hole” and only “broke his fall” at the last minute. In addition, Montag seems quite confident in himself and his abilities as evidenced by his “whistling” as he recklessly throws himself down the hole; he has complete confidence that he can save himself from the fall.

[Repeat for Clarisse, Repeat for Mildred]

An effective change manager always ideates and then implements its change execution strategy based on the then situation of the organization and overall environmental pressures leading towards it. Different approaches to change are required at different stages to manage it.

Responses to change vary between employees and staff. The narration of change and its interpretation plays a vital role in responding to change with a positive or negative outlook.
