Reflect: Reflect upon the importance of cross-cultural interaction as discussed in the second discussion of last week and the written assignment. Modern historians have created the term “Columbian Exchange” to refer to the complex movement of people, animals, plants, trade items, diseases, ideas, attitudes, and technology from the “Old World” that consisted of Europe, Africa, and Asia to the “New World” of the Americas that commenced with Columbus’s arrival in the western hemisphere in 1492. The many manifestations of the Columbian Exchange had profound consequences, affecting the cultures and societies of the Atlantic World in wide-ranging ways. Consult “Critical Thinking: A Guide to Skillful Reasoning (Links to an external site.)” as you formulate your response.

Write: How did the Columbian Exchange affect social, cultural, economic, political, religious, or ecological systems in the New World or the Old World? As part of your response, address the following issues:

  • Identify an example of something that was part of the Columbian Exchange.
  • Consider how this example impacted a specific region of the Atlantic World.
  • Consider how this example affected a particular society or societies.
  • Assess the significance of the changes wrought by the Columbian Exchange.
  • How can studying the economic, political, social, biological, or cultural significance of an element of the Columbian Exchange help explain multiple forms of interaction in the Atlantic World?

Elimination of restrictions on the use of potential intuitive is essential by improving the potentiality and raising its level of consumption (Damien Organ, 2016).

Over the years, the growth of popular fascination has been high with the way in which experts make rapid and efficient decisions. Intuition plays a vital role in expert decision-making as described in Welch’s theories, which emphasis on the analysis of different phenomena  (Jerad H.Moxley, 2012). Intuitive decision making can be explained as a process in which acquired information through associated learning and kept in long term memory can be accessed unconsciously to form fundamental decision or judgment. Thus, the way in which experts come up with intuition and using it effectively in the organization may influence effectiveness and practices of the organization significantly. The roles of intuition in the decision-making process are discussed below.

Intuition in the decision-making process plays a vital role in the strategic thinking level  (Henning Plessner, 2011). Strategic thinking is a method of synthesis that makes use of creativity and intuition in order to integrate the vision and future of the company. It is essential to use intuition as it creates more opportunities in obtaining a comprehensive solution more so when dealing with complex and challenging situations.

Furthermore, intuitive potential inactive top-level leaders are among the essential abilities required in decision-making and play a significant role in improving managerial effectiveness. Some managers may underestimate their potential intuitiveness hence making wring decisions.  Elimination of restrictions on the use of potential intuitive is essential by improving the potentiality and raising its level of consumption (Damien Organ, 2016). It can be concluded that intuition is vital in both strategic decision level and top-level management characterized by the high level of complexity and difficulty.

What particular “ingredients” should be included in an ethics program in order to attract clients and the best employees?

An organizational culture must be created where employees feel a personal commitment to contributing to the ethical behavior of their organization. A firm’s reputation depends on its ethical culture. Both clients and employees must want to be involved with this organization because they trust its reputation. They believe in this organization. Supporting an ethics program that trains all employees to handle ethics issues is critical to maintaining the firm’s reputation. A code of conduct that outlines the firm’s core values, ethical standards, and ethical expectations helps guide those processes.
