Our work in class is about studying and researching health topics. You need to show that you’ve researched the topics. Provide in text citations and references to show what from your paper has been researched. Explain what you’ve researched in your own words to show you are applying concepts you’re learning.

Critical Thinking: For full credit here you need to thoroughly defend with evidence and examples.

Research:

You need “many” scholarly sources incorporated within your paper for full credit here. Use at least 5 or more so it is considered “many”.

Writing (Mechanics/Citations):

We have online sources/examples of formatting in APA style & I left you examples in the announcements as well.

You need to follow APA formatting which includes in text citations to show where you retrieved your information in addition to references at the end of your paper.

Write a 2- to 3-page paper in which you describe the future state of technology-based learning. You should include discussion of hardware and software packages that can be used and implemented in your organization, delivery methods, traits of your learning environment(s), and methodologies of instructional design.

Your readings provide a good picture of the future of the technology-based learning environment. Based on the readings, you should be able to assess and explain the implications for your school or organization regarding its current and future technology-based learning endeavors. Also, you should be able to analyze how future learning events and activities will unfold for your learners.

Case Assignment

Your final Case Assignment focuses on the issues surrounding the impact of future trends facing learners in a technology-based learning environment. Drawing from the Hall (2010) and van Dam (2012) articles, you must write a 4- to 5-page analytical essay which responds to the points below:

  • Identify future trends in the technology-based learning field.
  • Analyze how the future trends in the technology-based learning field will impact the current instructional needs and requirements at your school or organization.

Assignment Expectations

Be sure to synthesize, not merely summarize, material from the background readings. Cite all sources in APA format.

Module 4 SLP:

 

The Session Long Project for this course requires students to develop a Technology-Based Learning Compendium*. This compendium will consist of a series of web-based resources and scholarly readings addressing various aspects of technology-based learning. Think of a compendium as a list or a brief summary of a larger work that you are creating. Each entry in your compendium will contain detailed information – including an annotated bibliography, and analysis and synthesis of research data. As you continue your career you should add other resources as you discover them. This SLP should continue to expand beyond this course.

* Compendium = a brief summary of content related to a specific issue; a list or inventory of items related to a particular subject area.

The following topics will be included in your Compendium, and each topic will be completed as you progress through the five modules during the Session Long Project:

Module 1 – Current Trends in Technology-based Learning

Module 2 – Learner Readiness

Module 3 – Learning Management Systems

Module 4 – Future Learning Technologies

The following information will be presented for each module topic:

  • Complete reference information – APA style.
  • Synthesis of key points/ideas presented via each resource.
  • How this resource can assist you with your e-learning needs.
  • Utility of key points/ideas with respect to the e-learning.

SLP Assignment Expectations

In accordance with the information above:

  • Peruse the Internet and the Trident library for readings and scholarly resources addressing the topic of Future Learning Technologies. You must expand your search for LMSs beyond Blackboard and Moodle. There are numerous LMSs on the commercial market. Focus on LMSs that best fit the needs of your intended learners and organization.
  • Identify and select five literature resources (describing Future Learning Technologies) to be included in your Technology-Based Learning Compendium. Annotate each literature entry, providing a summary of the article and highlighting the specific main ideas.
  • Write a 2- to 3-page paper in which you describe the future state of technology-based learning. You should include discussion of hardware and software packages that can be used and implemented in your organization, delivery methods, traits of your learning environment(s), and methodologies of instructional design.
  • Please be sure to include the following information as related to the above items:
    • Complete reference information – APA style.
    • Synthesis of key points/ideas presented via each resource.

You will need to respond to or evaluate three peer postings, with at least a 125-word response, which will cause you and your peers to generate creative ideas and concepts for your Case Assignment and SLP.

Describe at least three major boundaries or challenges involved in running a social enterprise.

The following questions are all based on the above Fairphone article/case. write a report addressing the following two questions:

 

a) Entrepreneurs – and by extension, the firms they run – have been identified as having certain traits and characteristics. Some of these traits are evident in the case of Fairphone, and how they ‘go about’ developing and implementing their business model. Discuss the extent to which Fairphone exemplifies these entrepreneurial traits and characteristics. Justify your response with reference to academic sources (e.g. academic journal articles, textbooks, etc.).

 

b) The article clearly outlines what we might consider ‘social entrepreneurship’, whereby an entrepreneur establishes and/or leads an organisation or initiative engaged in social change. But launching and running a social enterprise is not without its challenges. Describe at least three major boundaries or challenges involved in running a social enterprise. Again, you should be looking to use academic sources as the foundation of your review. Wikipedia or web blogs are not considered as ‘sound’ academic sources.

 

Write up your analysis. This should be in a report format. Here is a suggested structure:
