In this week’s reading we looked at accounts, identity, authentication, and account recovery. There is an old adage that says, “You can never be too safe. When it comes to the digital world, it’s very true. Cyber hackers and hijackers are lurking everywhere to steal digital information. And while it’s a piece of cake for them to get passwords and other sensitive information, for the rest of us, keeping track of login information is a hassle especially since everything needs its own password. It’s too much and eventually passwords get forgotten.

The week’s reading mentioned various methods of approach to account recovery. In your own words state what approach(s) you believe are the best approaches for account recovery, and how you would apply the approach in an enterprise setting.

Please state your answer in a 1-2 page paper in APA format. Include citations and sources in APA style.

· Read the article by Schroth, H 2019, ‘Are You Ready for Gen Z in the Workplace?’, California Management Review, vol. 61, no. 3, pp. 5–18. (Links to an external site.) [make sure you are logged into the RMIT library to access this site].

· Watch ‘What baby boomers can learn from Millennials at work and vice versa’ (Conley 2018) Ted Talk

· As you read and watch, think about how these two sources can help you answer the topic question:  “What does it mean to be an effective manager in a diverse workforce?” NOTE:  we are asking you to focus primarily on inter-generational diversity for this task.

Step 2: Find at least three credible journal articles in addition to the resources in Step 1

Now that you have noted how these two resources help you answer the question, what other peer-reviewed, academic journal articles can you find to help you build on those arguments?

Select between 3 – 6 articles you wish to include.  Take notes or mark up the articles to identify the key points.  Next, analyse the key points in relation to the topic question. Use these key points to support your approach to answering the topic question in the 3 body paragraphs of your essay.

Discussion Question 1:

In week 1, we discuss Active Directory. Next week, your manager has asked you, one of her most technical employees, to make a presentation to your co-workers on why your company should implement an Active Directory infrastructure. Explain what the features of Active Directory are and how it can benefit your company. Do some research and find another reputable company that is using active directory. Finally, provide your manager with an idea of how much the Windows 2016 software that will need to be purchased will cost.

Question 2:

Your manager has asked you, one of his most technical employees, to decide which of the 10 new 2016 servers will have a FSMO role, and to explain the function of these 5 roles to him. He has asked that there be a single forest with a parent domain of UMUC.edu and one subdomain of cnas.UMUC.edu. Based on that setup, where would you place the ten domain controllers on the network, and which ones would have FSMO roles? Keep in mind that there are multiple correct answers to this question.

Question 3:

Your new manager is just out of college and she would like the staff to utilize PowerShell more. She has designated that you will cover some of the basic Powershell commands and that you will also explain to the group how users can be added through Powershell. Use your own name when you explain how to create an account using powershell. Add yourself to the managers group, as well as the full time Employees Organizational Unit. Finally, compare and contrast using the Windows command line and Powershell so your fellow staff members can know what they can expect ahead in the coming months.
