Project Time, Costs, and Quality Integration

Part 1 -Project Management Trends  page
Project management has evolved through centuries into what we know today. In the 1950s and 1960s, project management became predominate in such areas as the military and aerospace. Today, project management is commonplace in many businesses.
As the use of project management expanded into IT and other business sectors, new tools and techniques have been created. With this in mind, address the following:
What are some common trends that you see in project management today?
What tools and techniques are most commonly used in project management?
Are these tools useful in all types of projects, or only in specific types? Explain your responses.
What trends do you foresee in the upcoming years in project management, considering that in understanding our present, we can also anticipate the future?

Part 2 -Reflection page
You were introduced to many different tools and techniques for managing a business-type or IT-type project. Some of these tools focus on the schedule of a project, some focus on the cost, some focus on quality, while others can be used to focus on all three.
Take a few moments and identify at least three ideas, tools, or techniques that you have learned from this course, and which you plan to use as a project manager. What will be most helpful to you? Why?

geriatric patients

The Patient Education Powerpoint is worth 20% of your grade. You will need to decide on a topic (related to geriatric patients) that interests you and create a patient education powerpoint that can be shown to patients to educate them on that particular issue.

Purpose: The purpose of this project is to expand your knowledge on a topic of your choice and create a patient education power point that can be presented at any town hall meeting.

Content: You will select a topic and complete a search for information related to the topic. You will than develop a scholarly power point (no more than 15 slides) that will be presented to the class. Include information that you think your patient or town hall meeting would want to know, such as disease process, risk factors, treatment/intervention, etc. This powerpoint must have your voice in audio as you present the information.  Rule of thumb is one minute per powerpoint slide when presenting information. Please keep your presentation at 15 minutes or less.

Current news item

Choose a current news item from a newspaper, magazine, Internet site, radio, or television.  State the title, source, and topic of the article/story.  Your paper must have three sections:
1.    In at least one paragraph, clearly identify the ethical issue and provide an explanation of the issue. You may need to provide background information, situational information, examples, research, etc. in order to properly explain the ethical issue. You are also required to include a thesis statement in this first paragraph since this is a persuasive paper. A thesis statement should present the topic of your paper and you should also state your position in relation to that topic. Your argument should be persuasive so your readers want to read what you have to say.
2.    Give a minimum of two proposed solutions to the ethical issue.
3.    State which solution you believe is most ethical, with reference to an ethical theory.
In addition, prepare to present your article/topic in class and lead a discussion of the subject.
Attach a copy or web link for your article to your paper.
Paper should be a minimum of one page in length.
