7.    Please compare the Official English Movement in native English speaking contexts (e.g. American contexts) and English-medium instruction in non-native English speaking contexts of education (e.g. in a Chinese/Japanese university setting) in terms of language ideologies.

Marketing Fundamentals

You are required to research the company and then prepare answers to the questions posed for each of the 6 topics below. This will create a portfolio of evidence for your chosen example that represents marketing objectives, strategies, and tactics. The portfolio will allow you to relate the theory taught in this course to marketing activities undertaken by your chosen company thereby providing evidence of marketing in action.

Your research must be as current as possible (from 2014 to 2020) and should come from sources such as articles, newspapers, magazines, websites, social media (e.g. consumer blogs), personal experience.

P.S.: referencing
– Each part should provide one reference list (Part A: At least 3 references; Part B: 4 references; Part C; 4 references)

Who were the first Australians

Task: Critically assess the evidence for two genetically separate human populations on the Australian Continent during the Pleistocene.
Please note the current view in Australian Archaeology is based on the Out of Africa theory and that there was in fact only descendants from Homo sapiens in Australia during the Pleistocene. But some researcher believe some evidence/fossils point to a separate species such as the Homo erectus also arriving in Australia during the Pleistocene. Please assess this evidence that there was possibly more than one species, but arrive at the conclusion that there was in fact only one (Homo sapiens).

1. State thesis clearly–what are you trying to say? Be direct! This should be no more than a
paragraph at the beginning. Also, have a desrptive title consistent with your topic.
2. How you use evidence to support your statements–did you cite correctly? In simple terms,
back up your argument. Always cite quotes and any claim a casual reader wouldnt believe! If
you need a citation style to follow, see the ASA Quick Tips Style Guide at the end of the
syllabus.
3. Analysis consistent with thesis statement. Be consistent throughout the paper. The thesis/intro
statement should match the rest of the paper, and vice versa.
4. Mechanics are good (grammar, sentence structure, and diction). To avoid long run-on
sentences, where papers can get lost, write shorter sentences. Also, avoid colloquial and vague
language.
5. Use of in-class readings. You dont have to use all of them but demonstrate understanding of
at least three of them, plus one scholarly source away from the syllabus.
6. Be original! Use your own words to describe/analyze. What does the topic/prompt mean to
you?
