Task 1  Your first task is to choose and critically analyse an organisation / company in any one country by carrying out an external environmental analysis using appropriate international marketing theory. Using secondary research of the organisation/company and country, you are also required to evaluate the wider and competitive environments.

Task 2  Bearing in mind the current state of the global economy, and your earlier analysis of your chosen organisation in your chosen country, research a different foreign market of your choice using international market research theory. Then, based on your own secondary research of that market, segment, target and position your chosen organisation in that market to allow the company to grow and sustain competitive advantage.

Social Geography

Weve spent a lot of time looking at cities in the content of the course so far. Why do we focus so much on cities rather than rural areas? Are there differences in the types of inequalities between the two spaces? Explain your take on this, considering readings and lectures. Things to consider: Why are cities prioritized in the social geography literature? Are the issues within cities unique to cities themselves? What about rural areas? Use evidence from these texts/ sources to back up your claims.

You are asked to give your perspective considering the array of evidence from this week’s texts, and lectures. You’ll need a balance of both represented in your response.

Because this is the last discussion board post, maximum points and possible 2 points extra credit will go to responses that 1) fulfill the elements of the prompt, AND 2) connect to earlier (weeks 1- 8) discussions/ lectures and texts.

All elements of prompt must be included for possible full credit.

I want you to use Pulido’s article as well.

Around 600 words for the discussion board. Also you need to write response to classmates’ post which should be around 200 words.
I upload 2 classmates post. you can pick one and write response.
