Consumerism

I have to explore one of the themes regarding potential dystopia in society as presented in Brave New World. The theme I chose was consumerism. I also have to examine three things:
1. Huxley’s examination of the theme.
2. Current trends regarding that facet of society.
3. Its potential impact on the future of society.
I will need well incorporated textual evdience and quotes from the book as well. The sources must be in academic in nature.

Legal & Unions

Select and READ one of the following case studies (located in your textbook) (EACH CASE IS ATTACHED)

CASE 10-1 WILLFUL VIOLATION, OR A PROBLEM THAT CAN BE CORRECTED?

CASE 10-2 CONSTRUCTIVE DISCHARGE AND REINSTATEMENT OF STRIKERS

Next, analyze the case and provide an overview of key points or discussions. An overview is not a detailed description or regurgitated statements from the

case, but instead key points in the case.

Then, make 2 recommendations for improvements for any parts of the case (think like an HR leader). Saying that someone should have did this, or what you would

have done are not considered improvements.

Presentation Draft Submission

For your final project, you will be creating a presentation of one of the chosen topics as viewed through two lenses of liberal arts. Your presentation will

be based on the findings of your research and KWL chart you completed in previous modules. You do not have to deliver this presentation; you are simply

preparing and submitting the presentation you might use if you were to present on this topic. You will be required to provide written speaker notes that

correspond with your presentation in a separate Word document. These notes would be the notes that you would have to reference if you were delivering this

presentation.

You will begin by creating your introduction slides using the Presentation Template for either PowerPoint or Microsoft Word, depending on which tool you

prefer to use to build your presentation. In the resources below, you will find an exemplar presentation on pollution, which is based on the articles that you

reviewed to learn about the characteristics of each lens in Modules Two and Three. You can use this exemplar as a model, along with the Presentation Template

itself, to help you create the slides of your own presentation.
