MUST ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS THROUGHOUT THE ESSAY:
What are ‘Social Determinants of Health & Mental Health’ (SDH&MH), why does it matter how researchers and
policy makers define them, and what do they tell us about the nature of ‘health’ and ‘mental health’?
In your own words, how do SDH&MH illuminate (or help us understand) why Covid-19 hospitalization and
death rates have been disproportionately high among African American, Latinx, American Indian people,
people with low incomes, people in certain neighborhoods, and people in overcrowded housing?
Apart from disparities related to Covid-19, what do you think are the THREE (3) most serious disparities in
health & mental health, including morbidity & mortality, among different groups, and why?
Based on your understanding of SDH&MH, what do you think are THREE (3) key policies the U.S. needs to
improve health & mental health equity?

Combatting Environmental Crime: Enforcement and Prosecution

1.What roles do the two primary federal agencies who deal with environmental crimes (the EPA and the DOJ) play in the enforcement and prosecution of environmental crimes? Explain the roles and relationships between agencies and why these matter. Who deals with environmental crime at the state and local level (name them), and what are the responsibilities of the different state and local officials (explain)? What is the difference between federal enforcement and prosecution vs. state and local enforcement and prosecution? What are the roles of persecutors and judges in the prosecution and sentencing of environmental offenders? Why does this matter? How does all of this help to explain the current state of environmental crime enforcement and prosecution in the United States? Make sure to fully flesh out and explain your points.

2.Most of the punishments applied to environmental offenders are monetary, and most offenses are punished organizationally (meaning the organization as a whole is fined rather than individuals). However, we know that monetary fines are not very consequential for environmental offenders and that most organizations who consistently pollute or violate environmental crimes factor in the cost of fines as part of doing business (i.e., the fines dont matter, because it is cheaper to pay the fines than to not violate the law). Considering all of this, how do you think environmental offenders should be punished? Should individuals who work for an organization be held criminally liable? Should offenders serve jail time (i.e., corporate officials)? Should companies be given the death penalty? Develop an argument for how these sorts of crimes should be punished and explain your points.

The Ethics of Big Data

Prior to beginning work on this discussion, read Ellen Martin’s article, The Ethics of Big Data. Also read chapters 9, 10, and 11.

Based on the article’s content, respond to the following:
Describe the microeconomic principles being used. What is the impact for demand?

Evaluate the different market structures that big data benefits the least and the most from.

While data collection may benefit the business community, discuss the concerns for consumers as big data proliferates.

To answer this part of the question, it is necessary to know the different features of each market structure. The four market structures are: 1) perfect competition, 2) monopolistic competition, 3) oligopoly, and 4) monopoly. Each market structure is defined by its characteristics. Chapter 9 discusses Perfect Competition, Chapter 10 discusses Monopoly, and Chapter 11 discusses Monopolistic Competition and Oligopoly. The characteristics of the different market structures are summarized in: Chapter 11, section 11.6, “Market Structures in Review.”

But, for the discussion questions, I require that you include the section number where you found your answers. For example: (Amacher & Pate, 2019, section 2.3).

I have attached MY TIGER ASSESSMENT USE MY SURVEY TO WRITE PAPER
Complete the TIGER-based Assessment of Nursing Informatics Competencies (TANIC) survey
Reflect on the answers you provided within your survey.
Consider how you could improve your skills in these areas, and identify resources within your organization as well as external resources that could be used to develop nursing informatics competencies.

Find one scholarly resource to inform your self-evaluation and/or plan.

Submit a 2-3-page, double-spaced paper that addresses the following:
Provide a brief overview of the TANIC tool, and your strengths and weaknesses as outlined in your self-assessment.

JUST WRITE ABOUT THIS INFORMATION IN GENERAL TO NURSING AND THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING COMPETENT IN THESE AREAS IN INFORMATICS))).

future goals in which you need to strengthen your abilities for each of the three main areas (basic computer competencies, information literacy competencies, and information management competencies).
Outline a brief plan for developing these competencies. In your plan, identify resources that can assist and are available to you within your organization or one with which you are familiar. Identify any external resources, and explain how these resources are relevant to your current practice and/or future goals.
Analyze how developing nursing informatics competencies contributes to your effectiveness as a nurse
