Discuss the probable causes of crime.

The perception of crime victimization It is quite common for the fear of crime to greatly exceed individuals’ actual risk of victimization. Why do you think fear of crime is so rampant, even during times that actual crime rates have dropped significantly? Use the Reading from the textbook to support your answer. Causes of criminal behavior Many different factors have been proposed to explain what causes crime. No single factor can explain all crime, although a single factor may be able to explain criminal behavior in specific cases. More likely, these factors work together to produce criminal behavior. Discuss the probable causes of crime. Include antecedent conditions, early indicators, developmental processes, and maintenance variables in your Discussion. Create a behavioral state machine for each of the complex classes in the class diagram.

Read Dennis et al. Chapter 6: Minicase 2. Work through it and answer the questions. See the attached example.

Based on the structural model you created in Chapter 5 and the problem description in Chapter 5,

create a functional model (use case diagram, activity diagrams, and use case descriptions) for the business processes associated with the Holiday Travel Vehicles sales system.

Create a sequence and a communication diagram for each scenario of each use case identified in the functional model.

Create a behavioral state machine for each of the complex classes in the class diagram.

Perform a CRUD analysis to show the interactivity of the objects in the system.

Perform a verification and validation walkthrough of each model: functional, structural, and behavioral.

What are the critical skills needed to be a successful manager in your line of work?

The purpose of this assignment is to get a picture of the various roles managers plan and the skills required to perform effectively. You should choose to interview someone who has been a manager for at least 2 years and is employed full time. Please use the questions below, but feel free to add your own. Ask frequently for examples which illustrate the interviewee’s experience. When an interviewee tells you an interesting story, make sure to ask further questions so you understand how this experience is related to their work and their skills. Take notes during the interview and then type up a 5-8 page summary of what you learned. Your analysis should include concepts and principles from our text. The paper should be in Times Roman 12 point, double spaced with one inch margins all around. Use MLA or APA format. Do not provide a verbatim account of the interview. Rather describe what you learned about how managers function, what helps them to do their jobs, what challenges they face. Your paper should include an introductory paragraph which describes the job and the organization of the person you interviewed and a concluding paragraph which summarizes what you learned from the interview. Key to your success in this deliverable is the ability to link course concepts into this interview. Consider this paper as a reflection of your ability to conduct research with citations and references of the models you utilized in our text to explain the behavior of the individual you interviewed Start the interview by having the individual describe their organization and their specific role briefly. Then use these questions to follow-up: 1. Describe a typical day at work. 2. What are the critical skills needed to be a successful manager in your line of work? 3. Who has most influenced your management style? 4. What are the most critical problems you have faced as a manager? (Including demands and constraints.) 5. Name one recent change you had to deal with at work and describe how you managed that change. 6. What do you love best about your work? Like the least? 7. What would you like to learn more about that would help you to continue to improve in your job?
