Throughout life, the connections between neurons in the brain develop and change according to the genetic foundations that the individual inherits from the parents, and the environmental influences to which the individual must respond. For example, the abundance of one type of neuron over another, and the neurotransmitter that each produces can be predetermined by the DNA an individual inherits. However, an individual who is exposed to chronic stress during developmental years may reinforce some response pathways more than individuals who do not experience the same patterns of stress. The governmental HCAHPS survey is done once a year
They cannot afford to do poorly as this costs them financially–all CMS patients are reimbursed based on their patient satisfaction and quality scores
The company like Press Ganey helps the organization to improve scores and they usually mail 300 surveys to the government each year.
Patient satisfaction has much more power today–the patients feedback and experience is critical to future business.  With social media –it’s a different world and word of mouth can help or hurt your business.
