You are welcome to choose any Topic below Each student is required to submit one research paper (in APA format, double-spaced with appropriate peer reviewed citations) which will involve some self-reflection but will mostly be focused on integrating concepts from the text, discussions, and supplemental materials. The topic must be approved by the instructor. Page range is 8 to 10 pages (not counting title and reference pages) of text. Papers are due no later than Sunday, the final week of class. Papers will constitute 200 points. See “Topic Selection Suggestions” below for some research paper topic ideas. If you prefer, you are welcome to choose another topic (one not listed below). Again, all topics require instructor approval and can be submitted by email to the instructor. The goal of this research paper is to describe the impact of your topic on Domestic Security Management. Depending on your topic, you will need to address some or all of the following…Why is this topic important? What are you claiming? Can you back this up with facts and analysis? What can be done about this threat? Who is impacted? What resources are required? What are the second and third order effects of this disaster and improper Emergency response? Be sure to link your topic to specific terms or EM principles found in the textbook or other course resources.
