In this assignment, you will look at the components of an effective statement of need.

Many charitable organizations and government entities provide funds in the form of grants to nonprofit and not-for-profit organizations to assist them in providing services that are believed to benefit society. To obtain these funds, the organization must submit a request for a grant. The entity awarding the grant usually specifies what information must be provided in the grant proposal. A key component of most grant proposals is a statement of need that justifies the request for funds. Your project for this course will be to craft a statement of need for a grant proposal using a provided scenario.

In this assignment, you will look at the components of an effective statement of need.
