This paper is about the development and writing-up of a research design paper. In this paper, students should present and develop the research design of their master thesis project. The research design paper is essentially a very extensive research proposal and should contain an in-depth discussion of the research design choices and methodology. The paper should not contain the actual empirical analysis! This should only be done in the master thesis itself. The thesis’ topic is: “The EU’ s foreign policy and the countries in the enlargement process: the case of Western Balkan”. I’m including a file with the research questions. They are in no way definitive. I’m only starting research now! Literature review and finalised research questions should be included in the final Research Design Paper. I will be working on the paper too, I’ve already started the literature review and I’m very willing to help in the writing of this paper!
