This assignment gives you the opportunity to experience making an initial assessment of a person whom you know in his/her home. This will involve assessing nonverbal communication and the environment in which they live. Introductory Assessment Paper Visit a person you know in his or her home and describe the following for your paper: Background on me- I live in New York City and I’m a 18 year old Male. I live in an urban community. ● The environment in which they live ● The nonverbal communication and behavior of the individual that you observe ● How does this information help you to better understand the individual? ● Do your observations confirm or conflict with your previous knowledge of this person? ● How might simply observing an individual in their environment assist in the problem-solving process? Please limit your paper to 2 pages or less. One paragraph for each item should be sufficient in providing the information. Each item is worth 5 points with an additional 5 points for writing (clarity, grammar, typos) totaling 30 points for the assignment. You are encouraged to review material from powepoints/class notes to assist in the assignment. You do NOT need to reference the book or other sources but you DO need to have your paper in APA format including a title page and running head.
