QUESTION 1:  Read pages 161-166 of your text that discusses “cultures, periods, & phases” then view the 3 PPTs in this module (Mimbres, Hohokam, AP-Mog-Gone).  Using this information what kinds of things can you infer using assemblages, periods, or phases when talking about these three groups? (AP=Ancestral Pueblo, formally known as Anasazi; Mog=Mogollon; Mimbres is part of Mogollon.)  Can you find similarities between some of them? What makes them different from each other?
Use specific examples from your book & the PPTs to post–try to use vocabulary from the chapter where appropriate (assemblages, archaeological culture, phase, etc.)

QUESTION 2: After reading Chapter 7 you will learn about types and attributes.  Using what you have learned “type” ONE of the three photos below.  Discuss (& define) which method you used and how you would group the items based on that method.  (explain your answer)
