students will research and write a paper describing the various sources and types of data that might fall under the umbrella of Big Data, what information and relationships would likely be extracted from that data, and how these relationships might be discovered. Alternatively, students may choose a paper topic that is of special interest to themselves such as Hadoop, Big Table, Relational Databases and various forms of SQL associated with Big Data- such as NoSQL. Expected size of paper is 10 pages.
