In Sonnys Blues, Sonny uses music to express the pain and suffering he feels and that sees all around him. His brother lives in denial of his own pain and suffering and that of others until Sonnys music forces him to see it. Which brother are you like? Write a two-page personal essay comparing yourself to the narrator or to Sonny and explain how you handle(d) your pain and suffering.
