RURAL/APPALACHIAN HEALTH PAPER AND PRESENTATION (25% 0F FINAL GRADE) – 125 POINTS
Students will write a 4-5 page paper in APA format on some aspect of rural/Appalachian health. The paper should report on current literature that pertains to your approved topic- Think current trends, treatment, social/political impact (a minimum of 3 peer-reviewed journal articles should be referenced the paper from the last ten years); Include a reference page in APA style.  It is anticipated that each paper will be 4-5 pages typed, double-spaced pages plus a cover page and a reference page.  Topics may include those highlighted under rural health in Healthy People 2030, the Rural Health Information Hub, the Appalachian Regional Commission. There is a rubric for the paper and the presentation on Canvas. Papers should be submitted via Canvas according to the course calendar.  Students will provide a 7-10 minute presentation of their paper and findings, submitted via Canvas according to the course calendar.
