Rhetoric and Persuasion

Look at the film Gospel According to St. Matthew (Pasolini) in terms of its rhetoric. Pasolini embarked on a very big, difficult project in trying to transpose one of the Gospels to the screen. Ask yourself : Was he successful? Who was he addressing? Does he manage to persuade his audience of the importance of Christ’s message? How? Primarily through pathos?
