Also, if the NPS is integrated with Azure VPN gateway, it is possible to configure multi factor authentication for remote connections (Microsoft, 2019). When configuring a VPN server as a Radius client, Radius provides VPN authentication, accounting for both VPN and DirectAccess (DA), or allows DA to use one-time password instead (uCertify, 2020).
