Within your first week of work you realize that your clinic is lacking in providing referrals to families in need of services beyond your clinic. You talk to your supervisor and she tasks you with creating a resource/agency guide that your clinic can use to provide referrals to families. Since your clinic services diverse families your supervisor asks you to start with one family-population. She then asks you to go out in the community and find as many agencies/resources that you can find that would be helpful to your family population. Audience: Your audience for this assignment is your supervisor. However, this guide will also be used by all human service professionals at your clinic. Instructions: 1. Select a Family Population (select from one of the unique family populations in the text). 2. Choose a geographic area that this agency guide will be for. The area you choose is entirely up to you! Search for agencies in your geographic area that have resources that will meet the needs of your particular family group (at least 4). 3. In addition to the geographic location you will also include internet resources. Search for at least 3 internet resources that will assist your family group. On page 1: Write a short summary (1 to 2 paragraphs) of this family population (use at least one outside source from a refereed journal article). 2. On the remaining pages, you will introduce each agency that you have found (at least 4): Create a separate page for each separate agency and provide all relevant information about this agency (name, population served, fees for service, activities or interventions available, etc.). You will also create a separate page for each of the internet resources that you have found (at least 3). Provide a summary of each resource, as well as the internet link to this resource). 4. On the last page, write a brief summary (1 to 2 paragraphs) about what this activity was like for you? What did you learn? Was it hard or easy to find resources? How might this information assist you as a future human service professional? 5. Include a reference list, in APA format (for the resources you used for part 1, the summary of the family population selected).
