The objective of the report is to analyze the corporate culture of an organization I have been part of. I used a culture diagnostic tool based on the model to be discussed then produce a final recommendation for the company to implement, both at macro (corporate) and micro (team/department) levels.
I work for a Saudi Sovergein fund that is very much structured, and has the right controls to maintain it. the leadership are achievement-oriented, and always raises the bar higher to accomplish more. people are mostly from banking backgrounds so they come in with a structured mindset and are used to having targets to achieve. given that the fund is almost 2 years old it’s still in the establishment phase and requires a certain degree of tolerance to ambiguity, and change of direction given that we’re part of the public sector which shifts constantly. I work for the strategy department and it’s very challenging to have people aligned with the strategy and contribute to various initiatives to help the entity grow given that the core business is focused purely on transactions and handles them as if they were in banks still neglecting the fact that we are a sovereign development fund which grows beyond that.
