parenting classes

It seems as though parental interaction is crucial during infancy. Not only does it impact the type of attachment the infant develops, but it also impacts their social and emotional development. One way to prevent child abuse/neglect is to provide parenting classes to at risk families. Do you think we should have parenting classes available to all families, particularly first time parents? How might access to parenting classes impact infant attachment and social emotional well being?
