Please take note:
Length: open and up to you. It should be as long as you need it to be to answer the prompt.
Your paper can only be on this particular production and must make specific referencesto it’s entirety (not just the first scene). You must have an intro paragraph with a clear thesis statement, WHICH NEEDS TO BE UNDERLINED.
You should show an understanding of the elements of design you are discussing which includes the purpose of the designers themselves.
You must site specific moments of the play supporting your statements. ( “it had awesome make-up” type comments would not earn you points.
You should state not just what you see and what you liked or didn’t like, but also your opinions on why you think they did things the way they did them – what you would have done differently and why – etc.
Improve your grade by using terms introduced in your text.
Be sure of your thoughts. Avoid phrases like “I guess” or “maybe they…”
Use your own words.
RUBRIC Thoughts: There is no formal rubric for this paper. But, TO GET AN A, show me you clearly saw the production AND have a strong understanding of the role of each designer while commenting on their work. RE-Writes are at the discretion of the instructor.
