- Minimum of 8 scholarly resources (These are from the Week 4 Annotated Bibliography. Conduct additional research as needed.)
Introduction For this project, select a person whom you believe had significant influence (positive or negative) on a movement for social, economic, and/or political change in the 20th and 21st centuries. Explore and address the following in your project:
- Summarize the person’s ideas.
- How did the ideas or changes affect the establishment and status quo?
- What was the context in which this person proposed ideas/change?
- How did the government or the people respond to the ideas/change?
- What sort of following or support did he/she have?
- How have the ideas/actions of the person influenced contemporary cultures and ideas?
For the final presentation, make sure to go beyond the surface information and go into depth about the person you are researching. Here is a brief breakdown of the project so that you can plan your time in the course:WeekTaskWeek 3Topic SelectionWeek 5Annotated BibliographyWeek 6ScriptWeek 8PresentationInstructions The final step in the course project is to develop the presentation with audio narration.
- You may use PowerPoint or another method (mp4 file) approved by your instructor.
- Deliver the presentation in a professional and engaging manner.
- Include parenthetical in-text citations support observations made in the presentation. Make sure to read the citations when recording your narration. Do not read the references slide.
Presentation Requirements
- Length: 4-6 minutes narrated presentation
- Slide length: 5-8 slides (not including title slide, conclusion slide, or references slide)
- Title slide

Introduction
The purpose of this study is to develop a script summarizing the content which will be included
in the final presentation paper inform of slides. The study will evaluate what information will be
included in the final presentation paper which will be prepared in form of slides. The first slide
will entail the title of the topic of discussion, the next slide will highlight the objectives of the
study, the next slide will summarize the life history of Nikola Tesla, the next two or three slides
will discuss Nikola Tesla’s inventions, discoveries and major projects carried out in his life, the
next slide will outline his contribution to the society, scholars, different nations and the whole
world, the next slide will discuss his end time and how he died, and then the last two slides will
cover the conclusion of the study and references used in the study.
The final presentation paper is expected to have 5-8 slides, the first slide will specifically display
the title of the topic of discussion. The title will be “The famous Serbian-American inventor and
engineer, Nikola Tesla”. The whole study from the first slide will be discussing the life,
inventions, discoveries, contribution, and death of Nikola Tesla who was a specialist in electrical
and mechanical engineering thus making the title to be the most appropriate.
The next slide will outline the objective of the study, the first objective will be evaluating the life
history of the great electrical and mechanical engineer by the name Nikola Tesla. The second
objective will discuss Nikola Tesla’s inventions, discoveries, and major projects carried out in his
life on earth. The third objective will outline Nikola Tesla’s contribution to society, scholars,
different nations, and the whole world. The last objective will discuss Nikola Tesla’s death life.

The life history of Nikola Tesla will be discussed in the next slide, he was a Serbian-American
born in 1856. He was a known electrical and mechanical engineer best known for his
contributions to the design of the modern alternating current (AC) electricity supply system
whereby he created a three-phase transmission method for electric power. He grew up in the
Austrian Empire and later joined the Technical University of Graz in Austria and the University
of Prague in todays’ Czech Republic. Later he moved to Budapest where he discovered the
rotating magnetic field’s theory and brought up the idea of motor induction which utilized his
alternative current (AC) design. Tesla’s proposed power systems inspired modern technology,
Kak (2017). He moved to the US later in his life whereby he met Thomas Edison a fellow
innovator but they separated later. He later established laboratories and companies which
specialized in electrical and mechanical devices.
Nikola Tesla’s involved himself with a lot of inventions, discoveries, and major projects during
his life on earth. The slide will outline some of the inventions and discoveries he made,
according to Kak 20 17, Nikola Tesla invented wireless technology which was suitable for
electrical engineering and science students. According to Martin 20 l7, Tesla invented lighting
which has greatly impacted and inspired technology today. According to Sharpe 2020, Mr.
Nicola Tesla invented the Magnetic field Strength which helped different people in advancing
their lives especially medical practitioners in understanding the inventor. One of the major
projects was when he was awarded a contract to build the first power apparatus at Niagara Falls
which contained his name and patent numbers.

The next slide will outline his contribution to society, Scientific scholars, different nations, and
the whole world, Nikola Tesla’s contributed to the world’s electricity, Mitra (20 18), this invention
helped electrical engineering students and lecturers in understanding electricity and circuits. The
slide will also outline that Nikola Tesla discovered and displayed how turbomachine works which
brought attention to mechanical engineers who learned how the machine works. Wunsch 2018
states that Tesla’s previous work and inventions were suitable for engineering students, they used
the machines discovered to learn and invent new devices. The companies and laboratories
developed created employment for many people who improved their lives from the money earned.
After spending a lot of time discovering and changing the world for the better, his life had to
come to an end. The slide will discuss his end time and how he died, he died at the age of 86
years. While on his normal duties whereby he used to feed the pigeons at the cathedral and
library, he was hit by a speeding taxi and suffered minor injuries. He never went to the hospital
and due to his age and the injuries suffered he died at Hotel New Yorker alone. People mocked
his ideas to be science fiction, and some called him an alien, Sharpe (2020). Nikola Tesla was a
smart man and made very many important inventions that are utilized by many scientific scholars
today.
This slide will conclude the discussion carried out in the whole paper, the topic being based on
the famous scientist Nikola Tesla, his discoveries, inventions, and contribution to the field of
science, to the society and world at large was felt and he will leave to be remembered and
recognized. The last slide will entail the references used in the study.
