By discussing international context, cultural background, colonial legacy, economic dynamics, and other relevant factors, explain what accounts for this development. Many modern scholars would argue that Middle Eastern societies are inherently more accommodative of autocratic regimes than representative governments? What arguments and evidence can you provide to support or refute this observation?
