I have put in an attachment of a SPECIFIC Governor Deval Patrick speech. We are supposed to make a Rhetorical Analysis essay based on this. We will be graded on how are our Thesis: Response to the prompt with a defensible thesis that analyzes the writer’s rhetorical choices out of 10 points. We will be graded on our evidence and commentary: Provide specific evidence to support all claims in a line of reasoning and commentary. Consistently explains how the evidence supports a line of reasoning. And explain how multiple rhetorical choices in the passage contribute to the writer’s argument, purpose, or message. The final thing we will be graded on is Sophistication: Demonstrate sophistication of thought and/or a complex understanding of the rhetorical situation. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THIS IS A RHETORICAL ANALYSIS ESSAY. So change the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion to be formatted the way a rhetorical analysis essay should. To give the final bif of overview: I need a rhetorical analysis essay, I’m graded on the thesis, the evidence and COMMENTARY and finally the sophistication. One final thing: I really don’t know how long the essay is supposed to be so I put down 3 pages. It doesn’t have to be 3 pages. You can maybe go over though it is a stretch but for sure stay below.
