While many of your research projects will require you to read articles published in scholarly journals, books or other peer reviewed sources of information, there is also a wealth of information to be found in more popular publications. These aim to inform a wide array of readers about issues of interest and are much more informal in tone and scope. Examples include general news, business and entertainment publications such as Time Magazine, Business Weekly, Vanity Fair. Note, special interest publications which are not specifically written for an academic audience are also considered “popular” i.e., National Geographic, Scientific American, Psychology Today. (Evaluating Information Sources, n.d., What is a Popular Source? section)

The above indicates that when reading a text—especially reading to learn and rely on the content of a text—we are to exercise due diligence. We need to exercise critical thinking and not blindly accept all information that passes our way. Our researcher reputations are at stake. And we are accountable to the readers who may rely on the information we provide.

For this assignment, you will locate and download a popular journal article to analyze the author’s use of logic.

The story of Adam and Eve in the Quran and the Christian Bible.

Need help with my writing homework on The story of Adam and Eve in the Quran and the Christian Bible. Write a 1250 word paper answering; In this version, God created man in His own image and gave him the green light to name all the animals and anything else in his environment(Pagels, Elaine 24).The Qur’an also states that Adam was created by God as the first human being (Al-Hijr 15:26). He was made in the resemblance of God himself and prophet Isa, who is commonly known as Jesus in the bible.

&nbsp. The process of creation is quite different in the two books. The Quran states that God created Adam from clay by simply uttering the word “be” (As-Sajdah 32:7-8). Allah, then introduced Adam to the names of all his creation, of which the man acknowledged and repeated after His words. In the Quran, it is noted that, God commanded His angels to prostrate themselves before the first man (Robinson 85).

This was meant for the angels to honour God’s new creation and to display their obedience to Him. All the angels obeyed apart from Iblis, who was immediately expelled from paradise. In the Bible, such a theory is not mentioned at all.

Concerning the creation of Eve, the Bible states that, God created a woman from one of Adam’s ribs (Genesis 2:18-21). The two were subsequently placed on the earth in a place known as the Garden of Eden. According to the Quran, Hawwa was created to be a companion for Adam. The book does not specifically portray that she was created from Adam’s rib (Al-A’raf 7:189). The Quran also differs from the Biblical version by claiming that, the garden where Adam and Hawwa were initially placed was in paradise itself (Tabatabae, Sayyid, Mohammad Hosayn 35).

Once in the Garden of Eden, the Bible states that God allowed them to feed from any tree in the garden in exception of one. This was known as the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Hereby, Adam and Eve were warned that they would die immediately if they ate from that tree(C. R. Alter 68). The Quran supports this theory by stating that Adam and Hawwa were cautioned on eating fruits from a tree. The Quran does not name the forbidden tree, but Zhaitan referred to it as the tree of eternity just to deceive Hawwa and her companion.

Media Influence on Politics.

Hi, need to submit a 2500 words paper on the topic Media Influence on Politics. Media just tell people what to think about instead of how to think. Each side of the argument has been previously confirmed based on the perception of different researchers on the topic. However, I didn’t find research that has provided a clear explanation of the issue: If the media decides where the public cast their vote during an election? Therefore, there is a knowledge gap, and this research paper intends to explain the influence of the media on politics in society.

Media is a pivotal part of today’s society. Across the world, people rely on media for almost everything to do with information and communication. It has become significant to understand how to balance the media influence the life of people and society. In these pressurized eras, it is becoming tougher and tougher to balance a family, work, and technology. Ages ago, it was just family and work. Currently, with social networking, blogging, gaming, and supplementary undertakings, technophile parents have discovered that harmonizing all that out with proficient family life has become somewhat of a task in the aforementioned (Hawn, 2009).

Research questions

1. Do the media direct the public on what to do politically?

2. Does the information provided by the media influence the opinions of the public?

3. How do the media influence the voting exercise?

4. What is the impact of media on society?

Problem definition

Media have significant impacts on society and politics. Misuse of media in itself can result in numerous challenges in society. Too much of a thing is pestilential. There are disadvantages to the media. Parents should ensure their kids are safe while online as not all individuals are well-intentioned, and even beware of the content that the kids seek from the media (Lowe, 2013). Most of the television content is not appropriate for all audience and have age limits. Such content influences the opinion of the public. Media has also been associated with high rates of violence, crimes, bullying, and culture shock. Many of these contents influence the way the public think and act politically. The research seeks to know if politics has any influence on the political decisions of people. It will seek to identify if the media directs the public on what to think and what to do.
