Based on scientific facts taken from American public schools, one could argue there is a reason to believe regulation of food usage among elementary- to high school-aged children is necessary. While such regulation is frequently dismissed as impractical, there are practical solutions to be considered.

There is little disagreement among public officials that the food choices available to students in America’s public schools are less than ideal. According to the statistical analyses of children in Neumark-Sztainer et al. (2005), students at high schools with open campus policies are more likely to eat lunch at fast food restaurants than those with a closed campus. Likewise, students at elementary schools with snack machines are statistically more likely to purchase snack food that is characteristically high in sugar and fat. In other words, when schools expose children to foods they know to be unhealthy compared to reasonable equivalents, they expose children to the risks and hazards of regularly consuming such products in a closed environment such as a school. Cases of schools that reduced their students’ access to unhealthy foods have been proven to be successes in limiting the prevalence of obesity among their student body.&nbsp.

Introduction

It is important that health care leaders be able to clearly articulate policy positions and recommendations and garner buy-in and support from stakeholder groups for policy and practice changes in their organizations. Unfortunately, effective communication is often lacking. Consequently, it is important for health care leaders, when leading change, to ensure that clear and open communication is ongoing and informative.

An important aspect of change leadership is the ability to address diverse groups of stakeholders and create buy-in and support for your ideas and proposals for change. This assessment provides you with an opportunity to demonstrate and hone these skills.

Record a slide presentation, with audio voiceover, for one of the stakeholder groups you identified in your Assessment 2 Policy Proposal. This trend will be driven by the economic expansion India, according to IATA. The organization also said that cargo volume, which follows the trends in world trade, is also likely to see a 6% annual increase in 2004-2008.The forecasts were released as a part of IATA’s year-end outlook, Reuters reported.

IATA also predicted that India will be the world’s second fastest growing market for air travel after China. According to the organization India is likely to lead the global economic expansion for the foreseeable future and this will create long-haul business traffic to and from North America, while the growth in air travel between North America and India is expected to exceed 10%. Three former Soviet Bloc countries will also be among the five fastest growing passenger markets during the period, with Poland at 5% Hungary at 9.6% and the Czech Republic at 9.1%, which is just behind United Arab Emirates at 9.3%. The UAE is fourth on IATA’s forecast list of the fastest growing passenger markets.

While the Indian airline industry is viewed as immature, it has incredible growth potential. In fact, observers say it will boast a growth rate among the highest in the world, and will eventually have the largest domestic market outside the U.S. and China.
