Search the University Library, the Theory Tables Learning Team Assignment, and other resources for information on each of the theorists or theories you selected. You must use a minimum of 3 cited sources in your paper: the text, a peer-reviewed journal article and one other source of your choosing.

Describe the connection between the character’s personality and the theory used to explain it using relevant information such as direct quotes, descriptions of events provided in the movie, show or book, examples of interpersonal behavior, and so on.

Include the following components in the body of your paper (as well as a clear introduction and conclusion):

·         A short synopsis outlining the demographic and background information of the chosen character

·         An evaluation of how each of the chosen personality theorists or theories explains the personality of the chosen character, making sure to use one from column A, one from column B and one from column C

·         A discussion of how the selected character’s behavior might be interpreted differently, depending on which theoretical approach is used(for this portion, compare/contrast the theorists that you’ve been discussing, and their approach to the character)

·         A discussion of the extent to which each chosen theorist or theory would address relevant social, cultural, environmental, biological, or unconscious factors that may be influencing  the character’s behavior(for this portion, use examples that demonstrate this relationship)

Format your paper consistent with APA guidelines (keep in mind that in addition to providing citations, APA formatting also includes having an introduction and conclusion, as well as correct title and reference pages).

Note that if you are using a movie, it does need to be cited and referenced. A movie reference should look like this:

Initial. Second Initial. (Director). (Year). Title of movie [Format e.g. Motion picture or
DVD]. Country where movie was produced: Name of Studio.

The citation for the movie should look like this: (Producer’s last name & Director’s last name, year).

Political/Government Event Report

PLEASE READ COMPLETELY BEFORE REPLYING! MUST BE ORIGINAL WITH NO PLAGIARISM.

Compose a 500 word essay based upon your observations of a political or governmental meeting, speech, gathering, or similar activity that concerns either civil rights or civil liberties.

You will need to first identify an activity that you will be able to attend. Examples of relevant activities include political speeches, town/city council meetings, school board meetings, political rallies or protests, public forums, or any similar activity that include topics pertinent to either civil liberties or civil rights. If you have any questions regarding the viability of the activity that you have in mind, contact the instructor.

Though it is not preferable, you may choose to view a recorded version of the activity (speeches, Congressional proceedings, political rallies, and similar events are often available online) if your schedule precludes you from attending a “live” event.

Within a 500 Word essay please include:

  • An introduction.
  • Describe the observed political event in detail, including the environment and people involved.
  • Describe how the event is directly related to the study of civil liberties or civil rights and how one may better understand these topics by attending a similar event.
  • Make note of any aspects of the event that seemed confusing to you and/or any questions that came to mind during the observation.
  • Support your answer(s) with information obtained from the text and at least one academic source.
  • A conclusion.
  • Correct grammar and syntax
  • APA format

The Assignment should be at least 500 words, and must use and cite the text and primary documents as sources. Cite the work internally and in full reference at the end, following APA style guidelines. Citation is important to build the definitions, demonstrate your research, and to make it clear which ideas are yours and which are from the source.

Utilize Bronfenbrenner’s ecological theory to address the topic of motivations for and influences on bullying.

Prior to completing this discussion, please read chapter 15 in the textbook, read the Shetgiri et. al (2012) article, review the information from chapter 1 about Bronfenbrenner’s Ecological theory, and review any relevant Instructor Guidance. Your post must be a minimum of 300 words and you must cite all your sources.

Utilize Bronfenbrenner’s ecological theory to address the topic of motivations for and influences on bullying.

  • Using each of the five systems in Bronfenbrenner’s theory, identify and describe how a child’s environment might pre-dispose him or her to bully.
    • For example, within a person’s microsystem are the parents.  How might parents be an influencing factor on whether or not a child is prone to bullying?
  • Find and report (with proper citation) one current statistic on the factors influencing school bullying behaviors.
    • Does this statistic seem to follow the same trend supported by Bronfenbrenner’s theory?  If not, explain how it challenges the theory.
  • Then, reflect on friendships in childhood and adolescence and address the positive and negative influences that they can have on bullying behaviors.
  • Finally, utilize problem-solving techniques in exploring developmental issues, grounded in child development, in order to provide one unique solution to reduce or completely end bullying.

Guided Response: Respond to at least two peers. In your responses, consider and comment on the probability and logistics of your classmate’s bullying solution.  Provide additional unique insights to either the causes or prevention of bullying behaviors based on information from the textbook or the Shetgiri et. al. (2012) article, and/or ask further questions about their response to encourage them to think of different points-of-view and reflect on their statements in another way. Continue to monitor this discussion through 5:00 p.m. (Mountain Time) on Day 7 of this week. Your grade will reflect both the quality of your initial post and the depth of your responses

Change Process

Assignment 2: RA 1: Practitioner Process Project

An required assignment (RA) is a substantive assessment intended to measure student performance against selected course objectives and/or program outcomes within a course. RAs are completed by all students across all Argosy University campuses and delivery formats without exception. Each RA assignment contributes to a significant portion of the overall course grade and is assessed by faculty using the rubric designed for that assessment. These are individual assignments, and students earn individual grades. RAs are not intended to assess students on every topic covered in the course, just on the key course objectives and/or program outcomes.

For this assignment you will visualize a personally selected work scenario for which you will present a plan for leadership through change.

Your plan is based on a stage model and includes the key goals and objectives and the activities and tools you would use to achieve them. While you may assume that management understands and appreciates management concepts, be sure your notes are also instructive to help managers understand cultural, group, and individual psychological factors that might be important. If you are using materials from a resource, include a citation on your slide. At the end of the presentation, include a list of the cited references. Remember to proofread your presentation.

The following basic stages are given as a guide for one final check of your course project. Note: Remember, this project is all about planning. Ensure your plan addresses how these stages will be carried out in support of the change process.

A: Initiating, articulating, and doing strategic planning

  • Articulate the basic need and motivation for the change.
  • Develop a coalition within the organization to plan the basic strategy for the change.
  • Articulate the vision to guide the strategic planning for the change.

B: Dissemination

  • Translate the vision and plan to various stakeholder groups.
  • Plan for and respond to resistance.

C: Action and evaluation

  • Create opportunities for forward progress.
  • Evaluate progress and provide feedback to make modifications as needed.

Make your final revisions to your presentation on the basis of the following criteria:

  • Information is organized and comprehensive.
  • Concepts are presented in a coherent and cohesive manner.

Your final deliverable should be a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation approximately 8–12 slides in length, utilizing a minimum of six scholarly sources. The presentation should have detailed speaker’s notes. All citations and references should be in APA format on both the slides and the speaker’s notes. A reference page, in APA format, should be included as a slide at the end of the presentation.
