With few exceptions, vaccine supply and logistics systems around the world are unable to keep pace with growing immunization programs

Description

With few exceptions, vaccine supply and logistics systems around the world are unable to keep pace with growing immunization programs. The need to go deeper into the relationship between HR and immunization supply chains has been clearly spelled out as despite the advancements made in terms of technology and tools available, the overall performance of health supply chains, especially for vaccines administration and immunization systems in developing countries, are well below the international targets. There is strong empirical research claiming that rates of out-of-stock and wastage are high also due to staff being generally unqualified, poorly trained, un-empowered and poorly managed. The aim of the thesis is to conduct a systematic literature review to unfold existing knowledge on the topic.

Objective:

The Gavi Alliance has invested significant resources on understanding the root cause of inefficiency in immunization supply chains, where 50% of vaccines gets wasted. The overlap between human Resource practices and Supply chain management has proven to be a real challenge for the sector. The objective of the thesis is then to better understand how the two domains interact in the existing literature

Research Design for One-Way ANOVA

Discussion: Research Design for One-Way ANOVA

Similar to the previous week’s Discussion, this Discussion assists in solidifying your understanding of statistical testing by engaging in some data analysis. This week, you will once again work with a real, secondary dataset to construct a research question, perform a one-way ANOVA, and interpret the results.

Whether in a scholarly or practitioner setting, good research and data analysis should have the benefit of peer feedback. For this Discussion, you will post your response to the hypothesis test, along with the results. Be sure and remember that the goal is to obtain constructive feedback to improve the research and its interpretation, so please view this as an opportunity to learn from one another.

To prepare for this Discussion:

Review this week’s Learning Resources and media program related to one-way ANOVA testing.

Using the SPSS software, open the General Social Survey dataset found in this week’s Learning Resources.

Using the General Social Survey dataset, construct a research question that can be answered by a one-way ANOVA.

By Day 3

Use SPSS to answer the research question. Post your response to the following:

What is your research question?

What is the null hypothesis for your question?

What research design would align with this question?

What dependent variable was used and how is it measured?

What independent variable is used and how is it measured?

If you found significance, what is the strength of the effect?

Explain your results for a lay audience and further explain what the answer is to your research question.

Be sure to support your Main Post and Response Post with reference to the week’s Learning Resources and other scholarly evidence in APA Style.

Explain the background of the issue including its history and previous attempts to address the problem

Within the context of your intro, share your perspective on the importance of “finding balance” between the roles of healthcare delivery providers, such as nurses and assorted clinicians in a hospital environment next to the business/financial component that drives variables such as costs, length of stay, discharge protocols, admit/surgical denials, and any others. Further consider that there is (or should be) a synergy among/between patient care providers and bean counters, yet it requires money to keep the beds open and salaries paid—just as it takes the care provided by trained professionals on the units. How effective is writing “policy” on matters such as these?

Content of the essay:

  1. Identify and analyze a problem
  2. Outline and analyze proposed solutions
  3. Explain the background of the issue including its history and previous attempts to address the problem
  4. Name any inherent values that need to be assessed
  5. Determine the resources, both financial and human, needed to bring the issue forward and to reach a resolution
  6. Describe a plan of action or policy based on your conclusions

Indicate your project strategy and timetable. What are the main project stages? What would the annual completion expectations be? What are the perceived challenges, and how will these be overcome?

Outline an idea for an original research project. This should be within the topic of health psychology and should not, to your knowledge, have been previously conducted. This need not be a project that you would undertake within an MSc, but is intended to demonstrate your ability to identify a research question and appropriate methodology. You should include in your outline a research question and a succinct description of how you would conduct the study.

Create a clear working title for your research project.

Introduce your proposal, identifying the subject for research in terms of theoretical issues and relevant empirical applications, and highlighting why you wish to pursue this project.

Review the relevant literature and theories relating to your proposed research area, showing that you clearly understand the key arguments that have been developed and the ideas and findings of key researchers working on the topic. This should demonstrate your familiarity with the subject area, and your ability to communicate clearly and concisely.

Summarise the central aims and questions that will guide your research.

Outline the research methods you will use, explaining how you will conduct your research. What form will the resources take? Where are they located? Will there be any problems of access?

Indicate your project strategy and timetable. What are the main project stages? What would the annual completion expectations be? What are the perceived challenges, and how will these be overcome?

Explain why your proposed project is important. How will your research make an original contribution?

Include a bibliography highlighting the key references that will support your research topic.
