MICE events and technology

MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) sector events are concerned with the use of events to realise business or organisational objectives through professional development, networking and face-to-face communication.  Technology is critical to this area of the events industry as a tool for actively shaping consumer or delegate engagement, for the delivery of events themselves and for the enhancement of audience participation.  Technology enables the building of enduring relationships with audiences before, during and after business events as well as facilitating ticketing, bookings and promotional activity.  The MICE sector has specific technical and technological needs in terms of physical spaces and e.g. network infrastructures for the delivery of effective meetings and conferences.  Increasingly, many events have virtual elements such as live-streaming of presentations, video-conferencing, the use of social media etc., and there is a growing trend in the direction of the creation of virtual events to replace real-world events.  Virtual events present both a series of opportunities and challenges in their organisation and delivery as well as in relation to their effectiveness.

It is important that you use your own words, that you cite your sources, that you comply with the instructions regarding length of your paper. Do not use spinbot or other word replacement software. It usually results in nonsense and is not a good way to learn anything.   I don’t have time to read nonsense and will grade it very critically. Please do not use attachments unless requested.
