I’m studying for my Writing class and need an explanation.What’s it like to be a news broadcaster? And what about in a small town? We all watched and listened to CNN News Anchor Paul Vercammen in the prior weeks, so we got a little bit of a glimpse of how one covers the news. So CNN is a larger, more prominent broadcasting station/company. But what about a small town in Nebraska, where there are most likely more cows than people?What’s it like covering a small one-theatre community and not having a BIG NAME on television? What’s it like covering the news, sports and weather in Nebraska?So here’s the assignment (worth 20 points) …Watch this documentary .. from start to finish! You could break it up into shorter watch-times, but you must watch the entire film! It’s link is above and it’s free on YouTube!

Do not write in essay format … simply bullet points! One page!

Asian American Studies 19530559

Dylan Rodríguez ends his essay with the following questions:

How has the state-structured influx of Asian and Pacific Rim migrant populations, and the subsequent emergence of contemporary Asian American communities, helped to further displace criminalized Black and Brown populations and amplify what Marable calls the ‘‘subtle apocalypse’’ of mass-based civic death?

How might the 1965 Immigration Act be re-narrated such that it is understood less as an ambivalent emblem of opportunity, liberal democracy, and freedom, and more as a fundamental facet of an American movement toward new forms of mass-based captivity and bodily immobilization, that is, as the harbinger of new forms of ‘‘unfreedom’’ as primary modes of social organization under the logic of white supremacist global capital?

Will it be possible to muster the intellectual creativity and political will to articulate a rupturing critique of the field’s operative structural, political, and theoretical assumptions, in order to develop a radical critique of the prison industrial complex that may fundamentally alter Asian American Studies (and Ethnic Studies) as attempted practices of social transformation?

Choose one of these questions, and give a preliminary answer. Do not worry if your answer is incomplete. It will be. That is fine. Do your best.

THIS IS A PERSUASIVE ESSAY , PLEASE CITE EVERYTHING AND HAVE NO EVIDENCE OF YOU I NEED TO PASS ,LOL

Begin your essay with an introductory paragraph that identifies the topic, interests your reader, and states your thesis. In the body of your essay, break up your argument into four parts. Develop supporting claims as topic sentences for each body paragraph. In each body paragraph, respond to evidence from at least one source to support that paragraph’s topic sentence. You may either reinforce or challenge source material to support your claims; however, if you challenge a source, then you must provide other compelling, credible evidence to persuade your reader of your claim. Organize body paragraphs logically to evolve your thesis. At least once in the body of the essay, acknowledge “the limits of your argument” by explaining “differing points of view on the subject” (Bost et al.). Follow the advice in Successful College Composition “to address opposing arguments earlier rather than later in your essay” (Bost et al.).

  • four body paragraphs with topic sentences supported by evidence from sources;
  • transitions between examples, ideas, and paragraphs;
  • in-text attributions or citations of all sources that you reference, in MLA style;
  • a concluding paragraph with a rephrasing of your thesis;
  • a Works Cited page with ½-inch, hanging-indented citations of all sources, according to the MLA Guide, 8th edition.
