Identify a TV show or movie with a character who has one of the mental illnesses

Identify a TV show or movie with a character who has one of the mental illnesses we have covered so far this semester (including those in the current module. Consider how the character illustrates the experience of mental illness. Write a paper reflecting on the TV show or movie’s portrayal of mental illness. In your paper you should address two main topics:
First you should identify what mental illness is being depicted in the TV show or movie (please also give the name of the TV show or movie and name of the character). What specifically does the character do or say that matches up with the symptoms or experiences of individuals with that disorder?
Second you should discuss the accuracy of the portrayal of mental illness. Do you think that this character is an accurate representation of individuals with the mental illness in question? Explain why or why not.
Audience
Imagine that you are writing this as an article for a psychology magazine. The readers are knowledgeable about psychology so you do not need to explain psychological terms, but they are unfamiliar with the TV show or movie character you have chosen so you should explain it clearly.
Format
Your paper must be typed, double-spaced, with 12 point font and 1” margins. It should be approximately 2-3 pages long. Because you are being asked to share your opinions and reflections, you can write your paper in a less formal style and make “I” statements (i.e. “I believe that …”).
