Use the following information to ensure successful completion of the assignment:

  • This assignment requires that at least two additional scholarly research sources related to this topic, and at least one in-text citation from each source be included.

Directions:

Part 1

Present a revised version (1,500-1,800 words total) of the paper “Learning and Hopfield Networks” that makes improvements in the caliber of the writing and incorporates instructor feedback regarding content and writing. Include the following in your submission:

  1. A reflection (250-300 words) that provides a bulleted list of the changes you made to the paper and discusses your revision process including how you incorporated your instructor’s feedback into the revised version. Similar to an abstract, this section will receive its own page following the title page and preceding the introduction to the paper.
  2. The revised paper that incorporates instructor feedback; clarifies the thesis statement and solidifies supporting arguments; edits for grammar, spelling, and punctuation; adjusts word choice to display professional and scholarly language; and adjusts sentence structure for improved readability.

Part 2

Write an additional 1,250-1,500 words in which you explore the interrelation of creativity, intelligence, memory, and learning. This section should flow naturally from the revised paper. So, you may also need to revise your introduction and thesis statement to allow the ideas to connect. Do the following:

  1. Analyze the interrelation of creativity, intelligence, memory, and learning.
  2. Discuss how your view of Hopfield networks influences your analysis.
  3. Describe how the interrelation of creativity, intelligence, memory, and learning can be exploited to enhance student learning outcomes.

Since the tools of correlation and regression are only appropriate for quantitative data, you will select a pair of quantitative variables from this dataset to analyze. Complete the following steps to select your variables and conduct the analysis. Watch the Unit 7 Discussion video in the LiveBinder for a demonstration of how to do these things in Excel.

a.   Use the Unit 7 Variable Selection Spreadsheet that your instructor has posted in the Virtual Office to determine which two quantitative variables you will use in your analysis. Select a pair of variables that a classmate has not previously selected by putting your name in the first column beside the pair you choose; unless all the variable pairs have already been claimed, then you will put your name in the second column beside the pair you select. Name the pair of variables that were selected for you and describe them (based on what you read in Step 1).

b.  Download the dataset, copy the data for these two variables and paste it into a new sheet, which you will attach to your post at the end.

c.   Which variable is your independent variable? Which one is your dependent variable?

d.  What is your research question? The question should be in the format of “Is there a significant correlation between ___ and ___?”

e.   Use the Unit 7 Discussion video “Correlation and Regression” in the Unit 7 LiveBinder to help you create a scatterplot (include axis labels) and give the correlation coefficient, r. Discuss any relationship you see from the scatterplot and r value: Does there appear to be a linear or nonlinear relationship? Is the relationship positive or negative? Is the linear relationship weak, moderate, or strong?

f.    Next, you will conduct an appropriate hypothesis test. What is the name of the test you will run? What are the Ho and Ha?

g.  The discussion video also demonstrated how to conduct the regression analysis in Excel. Insert your Excel regression output in your response using the snipping tool and Insert Image.

h.  What is your t-test statistic? What is your p-value? Assuming alpha = .05, what is your decision regarding rejection?

i.    What is your conclusion in context?

j.    Give the regression model equation, pick a reasonable hypothetical value for your independent variable, and use the equation to get a prediction for the value of your dependent variable. Based on your previous analysis, do you trust this prediction? Explain.

Assignment Details

Complete an implementation plan for your evidence-based project. The implementation plan template is a modification of the Implementation Plan Template document designed by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ, 2018). All sections of the tool should be complete and should reflect what information has been learned from the previous assignments. Refer to the definitions of terms that precede the Implementation Plan Template.

The template should be preceded by an introduction to the implementation plan. Included in this introduction are explanations and or definitions of the elements contained in the implementation plan. Include a summary of the project’s goals, an overview of an interprofessional team, definitions of facilitators and barriers to implementation, project improvement, importance of using a stepwise progression of an implementation plan, value of good communication, importance of resources and effective ways to measure performance. You do not need to go into detail here, one or two sentences addressing the contents of the implementation plan is all that is necessary.

Include an introduction to your implementation plan and a summary- what the implementation plan has determined what your needs are moving forward with your EBP project. The MS Word document should be embedded into your paper between the introduction and the summary.
