How have your beliefs and attitudes changed? You may find that you now think differently about statistics you read or hear about in the news and advertisements. When faced with a problem, what do you do to solve it? This assignment asks you to apply a six-step to problem solving process to a specific problem scenario. You will write a paper that presents a synthesis of your ideas about solving the problem using this systematic approach. Scenario 4: You are a sales representative for a company that encourages staff to log time in the field and away from the office. You are expected to begin and end your day at the office. You notice that each day when you arrive and return another co-worker is already there, and you wonder whether this person spends most of his / her time at the office. My topic and thesis statement: Today society has a stereotyped method to see ladies and they are being influenced by the manner in which they see themselves throughout the years.

The purpose of this assignment is to draft and submit a comprehensive and complete APA research paper. The paper is written to report on that research and offer answer(s) to the original question.

Your final paper should be 4–5 pages (not including the required cover page and reference page) and include the following:

  • Headings
  • Title page
  • Abstract
  • Pose the research question (introduction)
  • Discuss the thesis statement/present the information and research/draw conclusions (body)

Reference page with a minimum of three scholarly references and appropriately used in-text citations for each. Be sure to plan enough time for proofreading and editing.

socialization, I refer to a case from the newspaper in which a man uses
many psychological techniques to impact his child’s behavior in
particular ways.  I am attaching a copy of the story here.  Read the
newspaper account, and discuss what sorts of psychological techniques
the man is using on the son.   How effective do you think he is in using

Cautionary Note:  In one semester,  I found that some people had an
emotional reaction to the content of the story, more than I recall
seeing in past years.  Keep in mind that what what we are looking at
here is how he used the techniques.   I think we would probably all
agree that his intentions are not upstanding, but why did it work so
well?

The lesson on intelligence presents the range of intelligence quotient scores in relation to the Normal Distribution and discusses the extremes of intelligence on either side of the curve.  While we hear a lot about ‘gifted and talented’ programs in school, we don’t hear much about it after one graduates from high school or college.  For this assignment, you will visit a website devoted to an organization for people solely with high I.Q. scores. You will then submit your own thoughts on intelligence in general as well as what you’ve learned about this group.

  1. Visit the “Mensa” website (http://www.mensa.org). Explore the various links and read about its mission, who it serves, qualification for membership, etc.
  2. Provide a summary of what you’ve found and your thoughts on the organization.
  3. Next, discuss your own views on intelligence – what were your thoughts on the various theories presented in the textbook/lesson?   Be sure to link material you’ve learned in this lesson to demonstrate your ability to appropriately apply information.
  4. Your summary should be comprehensive and more than just a paragraph in length. It should demonstrate thoughtful dialogue and critical thinking.
