GRADING –each of the four sentences is worth 2 marks. 1 mark for grammatical correctness.1 mark for creating topic sentence well suited to the chosen strategy and accurately reflecting the chapter.
PART B (4 marks—0.5 marks each)
The following paragraph contains many errors. At the end of each line, mark the number (from the list below) that corresponds to the particular fault. There may be more than one error per line, so it is very important that you put the numbers in the correct order. Hint: there are two errors per line.

This sentence contains slang ("cool" #4) and a comma splice (#6). The numbers in the box correspond to these faults from the list below and the numbers are listed in the order that the faults occur.

The reasons were because Stan worked late, hates exams, and is prone to lapses of concentration.
