– The final project idea that my group and I have chosen is developing a creative project based on research in adolescent development and education (website addressing adolescent Effects of Social Networking On Adolescent Education and resources for youth/parents/teachers). The website will have tabs on cyberbullying, social issues and stalking. Focus on the cyberbullying tab.

– One of my group members wrote this so you can see what we are thinking and write my paper on the same direction. “Process: The Website To create an informative website for educators, we will incorporate many tabs tailored to individual issues that arise with social networking site use with suggestions on how teachers can get involved in the moment or preventative measures. The tabs of the website will include categories such as: being open to SNS, how to watch out for the psychological wellbeing of students, cyberbullying, stalking, security issues, and privacy issues. There will also be a hyperlink to Edmodo.com, which is a useful teacher-student social networking medium for educators to start looking at if they want to reach out to students in that way. I will be helping finalize the final categories and issues we think teachers should be aware about and will be researching and providing information on one of the tabs on the page and checking over the work of my peers and providing additional support and feedback for them if needed. By Week 6, we will have made the rudimentary base of the website and finalized the categories we want to website to detail and assign one topic to each member. Then, the next week, we will have our rough draft information and design aspects arranged on our website and communicate what areas need to be changed. On that week, we will also assign parts for the presentation we will be responsible for sharing on. Finally, on Week 8, we will make sure everything looks fine and practice running through the presentation so that everything flows well”.
