Environmental Issue Assessment using the Iceberg Model

In this assignment, you will select a specific environmental problem of your choice and write a research paper using the Iceberg Model as a framework.  Include in your paper the four basic levels to situations (i.e., events, patterns, structures, and models). 

Your paper must be between 1,500 to 1,800 words not including a cover page or references and double-spaced (5 points) and must include a labeled Iceberg Model diagram (10 points) (you can use a PPT slide to draw it, save as an .JPG and insert it into your written report.  You should fully describe the environmental issue complete with references (20 points) and a description of the four iceberg models (10 points).  Include a conclusion where you consider potential sustainable solutions (5 points). I have given you several potential references to identify global problems so you can use any and all of them as references if they apply.  You should have between 3 and 5 references for this assignment.
