Based on this unit (check the PowerPoint), how educational policy has evolved over the years.  Which policies do you think have had the most positive impact on ELL education?  Which court decisions have affected ELL education?  What initiatives have NCLB and Common Core Standards introduced that have affected ELLs?  How can teachers leverage policy and legislation to provide better access and educational opportunities for ELLs?
