developing your leadership nursing philosophy

Take an 8 x 11 piece of paper and draw a line down the center of the paper.
List five beliefs you hold about the profession of nursing on the left side.
Next to each belief write a few words about how you can make this belief a reality in your practice environment and/or in your role as a nurse leader
Now, use this information to write a paragraph or two short paragraphs that will represent your personal nursing philosophy.
Review the philosophy of your organization and the nursing department, compare your personal philosophy with both documents.
