Seeing as we are currently living in a global pandemic, I thought it would be fitting to discuss social isolation to a greater extent and why society is struggling to complete such an easy, essential task in such a crucial time. In todays digital day and age, we live in a  fast paced reality, where productivity is a measure of success, and therefore if youre not busy, youre not working hard enough. Working on no sleep and risking ones health for success is seen as a heroic, desired act that should be applauded for. So when society is delivered notice of a global health pandemic, forcing many countries, provinces, and states into a state of emergency, people react and decide to comfort themselves in numerous amounts of food, household items and supplies to feed their fears of social isolation.
